Creamy Prawns Curry


Again today I am here with a side dish,a non veg curry.If you are a regular reader of this blog,I have already mentioned that our favorite sea food is Prawns.Any thing made out of it,from snacks to side dishes or rice is completely wiped off.I have already prepared snacks like this and this.And gravy types like this and a Biriyani long back.
Today's recipe is a simple yet delicious rich and creamy Prawns gravy which goes well with Basmati type rices and also with Chapati ,Naan or any type of rotis.
The prawns are marinated and fried,then added to the gravy.There are no tomatoes or chilly powder added but it has a superb taste of the Coconut milk,and that elevates its taste.Now off to the recipe:

Ingredients
To marinate
Prawns  350 gms (cleaned and washed well)
Ginger and Garlic pasted 1/4 tsp each
Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder  1/4 tsp
Salt   as needed
Lime juice  1 tsp
Rest of the Ingredients
Onion    2 large finely chopped
Green Chillies  3 slit
Ginger and Garlic paste 1/2 tsp each
Cashew nuts   6-8 (soaked in 1/4 cup water)
Coconut milk 2nd extract  13/4 cup
Coconut milk  1st extract  1 cup
Pepper powder  1/4 to 1/2 tsp
Salt  as needed
Oil  3 tbsp
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Method Of Cooking
-Marinate the cleaned prawns with the ingredients under 'to marinate' and keep for half an hour.
-Grind the Cashew nut along with water into a smooth paste.
-Heat a non stick pan and add oil.Shallow fry the marinated prawns on both sides.Once fried take this on a tissue paper and keep aside.
-In the same oil add the Ginger-Garlic paste and the green chillies.
-When the Ginger-Garlic turns brown add the chopped onion and saute till transparent.
-Now add the thin Coconut milk ,pepper powder and salt.
-Stir and when it starts to boil add the Prawns and mix well.
-Now add the cashew nut paste.
-Add the chopped leaves and the thick coconut milk.
-When it starts to boil,switch off the flame.
-After 10 minutes serve.
