Hi and welcome to my blog...
I am Ruxana,a busy homemaker and mother of four children staying in Doha with my hubby.Also the author cum photographer of this space.I have been in Qatar from my very young age and so this is like my second home.My homeland is in India,Kerala and from Kannur.
I have started this blog from my own kitchen,to bring out the dishes I cook in my kitchen and share it with other food lovers.It was my Hubby who gave me the idea of blogging and thus I entered this Blogging world.I wouldn't say I am an expert but in this blog you can come along with my trials and experiments in my kitchen.I really enjoy cooking whether my own innovations or shared from people close to me.
The main source of my cooking recipes is from my Umma (mother) and all the recipes you find here are Halal.Being from the North of Malabar,you can find varieties of traditional Malabar recipes along with Middle Eastern recipes and much more.Most of them are simple and easy to cook.For some recipes I have added step by step images and for some a detailed procedure for an easy understanding of the recipes.You can make your own variation in the spices according to your taste,because the measurements given here are which suit the taste of my family.We usually prefer mild spices.
All the images you find here are taken with my changing mobile phones,from Blackberry to the latest S7 Edge.I haven't used any SLR or DSLR Cameras till now for any of my food photography.
There is much effort put in styling the food,taking photos and creating such a blog so please do not copy any images or the written work without permission or the link to this blog.
If you have tried any recipes from my blog please feel free to mail me the pictures of what you have cooked.I would really love to see them and would post it in my blog or fb :)
