Varutharacha Njandu Curry / Crab In Roasted Coconut Gravy

Usually whenever  there is Crab in the market my Hubby used to buy, but now it's been sometime we cooked any Crab dishes.Mainly it was because nobody at home is that interested in this sea food like before. But 2-3 days back seeing these large Crabs my hubby purchased and told to make masala or just fry them,as side for chapatis. But I had a little grated coconut leftover which I wanted to finish ,so I prepared this varutharacha curry(curry made with roasted coconut).
Having it after a long time, everyone enjoyed the food well and it paired well with Chapatis. You can have it with Pathiris also.Pathiris with roasted coconut gravy curries is compared to as pairs made in Heaven.Off to the recipe

-Meanwhile heat a frying pan and add the grated coconut, add in the shallots and garlic and saute for 2 minutes. Now add Fennel seeds cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, turmeric powder, coriander powder and the curry leaves and saute well till the coconut turns crisp and a nice aroma comes. In the end keep the flame on low and add the chilly powder and mix well.Switch off the flame.Keep aside to cool and then grind it with 1/4 cup water into a smooth paste.
-After 2 whistles switch off the flame.Allow the pressure to go by itself. When the steam has completely gone, open the lid and add the coconut paste. You can wash the jar with a little water and add it to the curry.Mix well, check the salt and add if needed.Let it boil well add a few more curry leaves and switch off the flame.
