Prawns Pasta Biriyani/Prawns Macaroni Masala

This is called as Pasta biriyani or Macaroni Biriyani in our side because it is similar to the procedure of making biriyanis not exactly but in an easier way.No Cashew nuts or raisins or fried onions are added but here we make a masala, then add the pasta and cover and cook for sometime. Also there is addition of garam masala and things and procedure similar to a biriyani. Here I have used Prawns but you can use Chicken also. For this you need

Ingredients
Macaroni          1 pack (400 g)
Prawns             300 g
Kashmiri red Chilly powder   2 tsp
Salt       as needed
Oil         for shallow frying + for the masala
Onion               4 (sliced)
Tomato            2 (diced)
Capsicum         1 big (diced into 1/2 ''pieces)
Ginger              11/2'' piece
Garlic                6 cloves
Green chilly        3-4
Fennel seeds powder  1 tsp
Turmeric powder    1 tsp
Garam masala     3/4 tsp
Salt     as needed
 Method
-Cook macaroni according to the packet instruction (for the amount of water) adding 2 tsp of oil, enough salt and 1 tsp turmeric powder. When cooked drain the water and keep this aside.
-Marinate the prawns with chilly powder and salt for 10 minutes and then shallow fry.Once done, drain the oil and keep the fried prawns aside.
-Grind the ginger, garlic and the green chillies together and keep aside.
-Heat oil in a non stick pan.
-Add the onions and a little salt and saute for sometime (till the onions are transparent)
-Add the ground paste and mix well.
-Now add the tomatoes saute for a minute and add the diced capsicum.Mix well.
-When the tomatoes become soft, add in the fennel seeds powder, chopped coriander leaves, garam masala and the lime juice. Saute well.
-Add the prawns mix well and add the Macaroni.
-Give a good mix, cover and keep on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
-Switch off the flame and serve...
*If you prefer this a little more spicy you can add a little pepper powder.
