Drumstick and Jackfruit Seed Curry / Muringakka Chakkakuru Curry

Yesterday we had guests for Iftar, only bachelors. There are some leftovers. So there is no cooking today and I thought I will feed my blog :) Before Ramadan started my Hubby had gone to Malaysia and on his return he came via Kerala,so I got some fresh goodies from Umma.In which there were some sweet ripe Jackfruits, both raw and ripe Mangoes and then snack items.
I reserved the seeds of the Jackfruit for making this fry, Stir fry and the sweet balls. But this time as there were raw Mangoes and my garden fresh Drumsticks I prepared this delicious curry also. This curry goes well with both rice and rotis. Now on to the recipe:
Ingredients
Drumsticks          4 (skin peeled and cut into 11/2'' pieces)
Jackfruit seeds     15-20 (skin removed and cut into halves)
Raw Mango        1/2 of 1 large Mango
Water              21/2 Cups
Turmeric Powder  1/4 tsp
Chilly Powder  1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Green chilly 1-2 slit
Salt  as needed
To Grind
Coconut 1 cup
Water  1 cup
Garlic 1 clove
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
To Temper
Oil  3 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves  1 sprig
Dry Chilly  1-2
Shallots    3-4 thinly sliced

Method Of Cooking
-Grind the items under 'to grind' into a smooth paste and keep aside.
-In a clay pot add the Jack fruit seeds, green chillies, all the powders and water.Mix and keep this on flame.
-When the seeds are half cooked add in the drumsticks, mango pieces and salt and cook till done.
-Now add in the Coconut paste, mix well and let it boil.
-Once boiled switch off the flame.
-Now heat a pan and add oil. When the oil turns hot splutter the mustard seeds, then add in the curry leaves, dry chilly and the sliced shallots. When the shallots turn light brown ,pour the whole thing into the curry and cover it with a lid.Serve after 5 minutes.
