Arachu Vecha Kozhi Curry/ Chicken Curry (Pasted Gravy)

Today's recipe is a simple Chicken curry.The same curry which mostly every one cooks but the twist is the whole sauteed ingredients are pasted and then proceeded,which gives it all the difference.My children love chicken curry compared to fish or any veg.curries,but then too it's like they just dip and flip the rotis in the gravy and eat.
Though they complete their meal there is always the onion tomato mixture at one corner.However mushy the onions and tomato tend to be they will get something to pick up and keep to the sides.My Umma used to make this curry for my brother,but now I and my sisters also prepare twist it the same way with the ordinary Chicken curry.
      Though it’s the same amount of ingredients we use for the regular curry,cooking it this way, the taste turns awesome.It's so lovely to see the plates and even the pressure cooker mopped so well.Now on to the recipe:
Ingredients
Chicken   1 kg (cut into medium pieces)
Onion  (roughly chopped)      3 
Tomato (       ''      ''  )    2 large 
Ginger & Garlic  chopped   3/4 tsp each
Green Chilli    1 slit
Chilly powder  1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder   1/4 tsp
Garam masala   1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
Water   3/4 cup
Oil    3 tsp
Method of Cooking
-Clean and wash the Chicken pieces and keep aside.
-Heat a pressure cooker and add oil.Add in the onion and saute well.
-Now add in the Ginger and garlic and the slit green chilly along with the tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.
-Now add in the chilly powder,coriander and turmeric powder,stir and switch off the flame.Let it cool down completely.
-Now add this mixture in a blender along with 1/2 cup water and grind into a smooth paste.
-Now in the same pressure cooker add the paste along with the Chicken pieces,salt,garam masala and 1/4 cup water and pressure cook for 2 whistles or till the chicken is cooked well.
-Serve with Rice or Rotis.
