Ingredients:
Pumpkin (yellow) 2 and 1/2 cups (diced)
Prawns 10 nos.
Onion(chopped) 1/2 of one
Chilly powder 1/4 - 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp(as per taste)
Water little (just to cook the pumpkin)
For grinding:
Coconut 1/2 of one (scraped)
Turmeric powder 3/4 tsp
Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
Water little
For Tempering:
Oil 1 tbsp
Mustard seed 1 tsp
Dry red chilly 2
Curry leaves few
-Cook the pumpkin along with onion,chilly powder,salt and water for 2-3 minutes.
-Now add the prawns and cook till all are done.
-Mash the pumpkin (be careful not to mash the prawns)
-Now grind the coconut along with turmeric powder,fennel seeds and little water into a smooth paste.
-Add this coconut paste to the pumpkin prawns mix. Let it boil.Off the flame.
- Now in a pan heat oil ,splutter mustard seeds,then add dry chilli and the curry leaves and pour this into the curry and mix well.
-Serve with rice.
