Sweet potatoes 300 gm
Onion 1 medium (finely chopped)
Green Chillies 2-3 (finely chopped)
Garlic paste 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves a few (finely chopped)
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Corn flour 2 tbsp
Rice powder 1 tsp
Garam masala 1/4 tsp
Salt as needed
Oil for deep frying
-Boil the Sweet potatoes till soft.Remove from flame and drain off the excess water.Allow it to cool then peel off the skin and mash well.
-Add rest of the ingredients except oil and combine well.The mixture should be firm.
-Heat oil in a wok.
-Pinch out small balls from the mixture and flatten it.
-When the oil turns hot,slowly slide the Vadas into the oil and cook till golden brown.
-Remove the Vadas using a slotted spoon onto a tissue paper to remove excess oil.Serve with a spicy dip and a cup of tea.
