Oats With Dry Fruits And Nuts
Already we are in the last few days of Ramadan. And the ten days goes with the best prayers one can make expecting Lailathul Qadr.
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni
(O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me)
A little about Lailathul Qadr-the Night of Power/Decree expected during the the last days mainly the odd nights is of great significance. The Holy Quran was sent down in this night. Angels descend in this night. There is a chapter in the Holy Quran mentioning about this.
“Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.”(97:1-5)
Today's recipe is a simple porridge or drink made with the Oats, dry fruits and nuts.Actually there is no particular measurement for this.Prepare Oats in a semi thick consistency and mix in all your favorite dry fruits and nuts. You can have this at Suhoor time,so that you do not feel so heavy at stomach but filled and gives you energy, specially for working people and school going children.
